The CHP is investigating an accident that happened early yesterday morning sending two people to the hospital. Investigators say the crash happened at 2:30 a.m. New Years Day, when the driver drove a vehicle over the Broadway on-ramp to the 101, ending up in the parking lot of the Motel 6 in Santa Maria. The driver and passenger were taken to Marian Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. No word on their current conditions.
