Paso Robles police say a man died Friday night trying to keep his drunk friend from getting behind the wheel. According to Police, they were called out to the Santa Maria Brewing Company and a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at around 10:40 p.m… Witnesses told officers that Jose Montes Guillen was trying to stop 21-year-old Sarah Hale driving while intoxicated. He was injured when he was thrown from the car and he would later die from his injuries. Hale was arrested on suspicion of felony D.U.I. and felony hit and run.
