Arroyo Grande Police say a woman who tried to pass a forged check is behind bars this morning. Investigators say the suspect tried to pass the check at Coast Hills Credit Union yesterday afternoon. An alert employee called the police. The suspect fled in a car when officers arrived. A pursuit ended when she crashed into some bushes outside the BofA near the Village. Officers were led on a brief foot pursuit when the suspect tried to evade them in a nearby creek. She’s now facing several charges including forgery and burglary.
