A burglary suspect is at large after evading law enforcement Saturday night. It began when a Cambria resident came home and found an unfamiliar car with Washington plates in his driveway. The resident found the suspect in his garage taking a can of tuna and some margarita mix. The burglar fled, but Sheriff’s deputies caught up with him at a local motel. A pursuit began northbound on Highway 1 but, was called off due to unsafe speeds. Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the suspect near Moonstone Beach Drive and used spike strips to bring his car to a stop. He fled on foot and at last report was still at large. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office.
