Santa Maria High School Students Get Scholarships

Two Santa Maria High School students have won 20,000 dollar scholarships from the Coco-Cola Company. Santa Maria Joint Union High School District officials announced yesterday that, Isabella Blanco and Jennifer De Leon-Dominguez were two of 150 students nationwide to receive the scholarships. More than 95,000 students applied for the achievement-based award. Officials say the scholarships are awarded to students who show a capacity to lead and serve.
