Grover Beach Police investigators are working on an assault case that landed a victim in the hospital and three people behind bars over the weekend. They say officers were called to Mentone Basin Park Sunday evening to a report of a fight between several people. When they arrived, officers found a victim who had been beaten by two men. According to witnesses, the third suspect, a 19-year-old female encouraged the beating. All three are currently being held in lieu of 50,000 dollars bail. A third male suspect is on the loose.
