The Sears building at the Santa Maria Towne Center has been put on the market. Mall officials say the store performs well and is not closing. According to KEYT, The store was listed with Matthews Real Estate Investment Services. It’s one of several buildings in the Sears real estate portfolio listed for sale. Mall officials say Sears in Santa Maria will continue to operate as a retailer. Meanwhile, the former Sears location at the Madonna Shopping Plaza in San Luis Obispo that closed in July of 2017, will soon become the new homes for Ross Dress for Less and Michaels craft store.
