Cheaper and Greener energy. That’s the goal of a number of Central Coast communities and Monterey Bay Community Power thinks it has the answer by providing renewable energy at a lower cost. San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay city officials have already joined the Community Choice Energy program. Grover Beach officials think the program may fit the city’s green goals. Santa Maria and Paso Robles city councils will discuss the plan at their meetings later today. New services for San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay will begin in January.
