A Santa Maria Uber driver is behind bars. Police say Shadi Aziz Abdul was arrested on suspicion of raping a passenger in his car late last month. The victim reported to police that the rape happened at the end of the Uber ride. Police received an arrest warrant for Abdul. He was caught at the Mexico/ U.S. border and extradited back to Santa Maria earlier this week. Police say there’s a possibility other people may have been victimized.
