A family has filed suit against Santa Barbara County following an accident with a mechanical bull last year. According to the suit, Sarah Mondedero was at the Santa Maria Fairpark in June of 2018 when she decided to try the mechanical bull. The suit claims, at some point during the ride she fell off the bull and onto her neck. The injury left her a quadriplegic. The owner of the mechanical bull, The maker of the machine, and Santa Barbara County have been named in the suit. County officials say they are aware of the suit but could not comment further.
