As we get closer to our 4th of July Celebrations, Cal Fire officials are reminding everyone that even legal fireworks can get out of hand fairly quickly. If you choose to light fireworks this year, don’t skim over major safety precautions. Check your local ordinances. Use only state marshal-approved fireworks. Have a bucket of water and a hose nearby. Have an adult present, and never use near flammable materials. Some “safe and sane” fireworks are allowed in the cities of Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Morro Bay, as well as parts of unincorporated communities of Oceano, San Miguel and Templeton.
