The State of California has filed suit against a man accused of starting a brush fire in Cambria back in 2017. Cal Fire filed suit last week to recover at least 65,500 dollars from Andrew William Dreyfus. According to the suit, the state wants to recover “fire suppression, investigation, report-making, accounting, and collection costs.” Cal Fire claims Dreyfus was negligent when grinding steel. He allegedly admitted in his 9-1-1 call that he was not paying attention to what he was doing when the fire broke out.
