Opening day of the California Mid State Fair is tomorrow. And anyone who has attended the fair knows, fair time means warm temperatures. To beat the heat over the next 10 days, there’s a new attraction called the Chill Zone. It will be located on the southside of the fair and include; Ice sculptures, misters, cooling fans, a fully enclosed 40-foot ice bar and a giant eight-ton ice cube. Attendees who guess how long it will take for the giant ice-cube to melt could win 500 dollars and season tickets to next year’s fair.
