Parents Concerned After Find Needles And Waste At Local Park

Parents and neighbors of a San Luis Obispo park are growing concerned over homelessness and illegal activity that seems to be taking over Mitchell Park. According to KSBY, San Luis Obispo Police Officials say they have bike and foot patrols ongoing at the park. Just yesterday officers handed out several citations for open containers and possession of drug paraphernalia. Last week, police received at least three reports of hypodermic needles being discovered at the park. While it’s not illegal to be homeless. It is illegal to use drugs, litter, vandalize and sleep overnight at Mitchell Park.
