Woman Involved In Deadly Head-On Was DUI 3 Time Legal Limit

A 22-year-old woman who was just days away from graduating from Cal Poly last month had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit when she was involved in a deadly head-on crash. Yesterday, CHP investigators released Nicole Scalone’s toxicology report. The report showed the 22-year-old business major had a blood alcohol content of 0.24, triple the legal limit of 0.08 at the time of the collision. CHP investigators say she was driving the wrong way on the 101 when she ran into Anthony Au. The father of two, was on his way to work when the collision happened.
