The Paso Robles City Council got an update on the fire departments plans for the Salinas Riverbed project. Fire officials say they are working with private contractors to perform fuel mitigation in the riverbed. The contractors will be eliminating dead brush, trimming trees and creating fuel breaks as the first part of the project. The second part includes the police department enforcing some of the camping restrictions. Officials say its a project that will need continued maintenance in the years to come.
