Hundreds of Atascadero residents were left without power this morning after a car crashed into a power pole. Authorities say the crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. near Paloma Creek Park. According to PG&E, the car struck the power pole and damaged a gas main. Atascadero City Firefighters were on the scene quickly to douse a small fire started by the crash. No word on the driver’s condition. Most PG&E customers had their power back on by 5 this morning.
