The Santa Maria City Library will be closing for a day this month. The closure on Wednesday, August 28th includes the Library’s branches in Cuyama, Guadalupe, Los Alamos, and Orcutt. Officials say the closure is needed to train staff on current strategies and practices that will help them better serve people who use the library. According to KSBY, the library’s website will remain available for access to online resources, item renewals, and account information. Exterior book return drop boxes will also be available, and library items may be renewed by phone.
