The Forbes Magazine list of top colleges in the West is out and Cal Poly is in the top 25. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo ranked 24th in this year’s report. That’s up from 38th from last year. Nationally Cal Poly is listed at 115th among the 650 ranked public and private not-for-profit universities in the country. According to the Tribune, The rankings are based on five general categories: alumni salary, student satisfaction, debt, American leaders, on-time graduation rate and academic success. U.C. Santa Barbara was ranked 15th, and Stanford topped the list.
