San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson has announced the arrest of a man investigators believe is connected to the stabbing death of another man in Paso Robles last month. 28-year-old Fausto Ortega Maldonado was arrested last Friday following a seven-week-long investigation into the death of 20-year-old Primitivo Pacheco Ortega. Pacheco Ortega’s body was found with multiple stab wounds off Estrella Road on July 7th. Ortega Maldonado was already serving time on a felony domestic violence conviction when he was arrested and charged with murder. He’s due in court this morning.
