A hiker needed to be airlifted from Bishop Peak yesterday.
Crews from Cal Fire and San Luis Obispo City Fire received the call about an injured hiker just after 9 a.m… The 30-year-old man from San Jose had apparently tripped an fell while hiking down the Bishop Peak Trail. Paramedics hiked up to the man and, based on his severely dislocated shoulder, decided he needed to be airlifted off the mountain. The CHP’s Helicopter took the man to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.
