Illegal fireworks are to blame for a small vegetation fire that broke out just after midnight yesterday in Paso Robles. Firefighters were called out to the area of Navajo and Mohawk Court. When they arrived, they found a 20-by-40 foot spot burning uphill. The flames were quickly dealt with. No damage or injuries were reported. Fire officials remind Paso Robles residents that even safe and sane fireworks are illegal, adding that anyone found in possession of them could face fines and, or citations.
