Tenet Hospitals in San Luis Obispo County are bracing for a nurses strike later this week. More than 500 nurses will go on a 24-hour strike beginning Friday morning at 7. Nurses from Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and Twin Cities Community Hospital will be part of a nationwide effort to urge Tenet Healthcare to invest more resources into nursing staff. Tenet officials plan to bring in temporary staff to cover the striking nurses’ shifts. Yesterday, both sides said they plan to continue negotiations in the hope of avoiding a strike.
