Arroyo Grande Man Faces Numerous Charges After Lead Officers On High Speed Chase

An Arroyo Grande man is facing numerous charges after going on a vandalism spree early yesterday morning, and leading officers on a pursuit that wound through Nipomo and Santa Maria. It started at around 12:30, when a homeowner called to say someone had driven through his yard, did donuts in his field, and then drove through his fence. The victim identified the driver as 52-year-old Brian Garzoli. His front license plate was also found in the victim’s yard. The driver also crashed through several fences and yards before leading CHP Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies into Santa Maria at speeds over 100 MPH. The chase ended near Donovan Road. Garzoli is now facing several charges including DUI, Reckless Driving, and littering.
