As Lompoc Police continue to investigate the 7th homicide in the city this year, locals told a Public Safety Commission last night that more needs to be done to prevent such crimes. The Public Safety Commission members and residents discussed how the community could be involved in preventing and reporting crimes in their areas. Some of that involvement could involve installing security cameras to help police. The Commission also plans to hold more public meetings in the future.
