San Luis Obispo has been named a Gold-level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. According to a press release, The award recognizes the city’s commitment to improving conditions for cyclists through investments in bike education programs, bike events that promote and encourage biking, pro-bike policies, and bike infrastructure. Executive Director of the League of American Bicyclists says cities like San Luis Obispo are leading the nation when it comes to important livability factors that people want where they call home.
