Jurors Get Lyft Sexual Assault Case

Jurors for the case of the former Lyft driver accused of sexually assaulting a passenger heard closing arguments yesterday. Prosecutors say the victim was drunk when Jason Fenwick drove her to her Nipomo home and sexually assaulted her. His defense attorney claims surveillance video showed the incident was not assault. Meanwhile, Uber has just released a long-awaited safety report that contains alarming numbers of sexual crimes. Out of two billion rides, there were 5981 reports of sexual abuse between 2017 and 2018. There were 235 reports of rape and 280 reports of attempted rape in 2018.
