County Health Officials Announced Flu-Related Death

San Luis Obispo County Public Health officials have announced the first flu-related death in the county this year. They say the man died of complications related to influenza infection. It’s unclear if the victim had any underlying health issues or is he had been vaccinated against the flu. County Health officials say it’s not too late to get a flu shot. They also recommend covering your coughs and sneezes, wash your hands often, and stay home if you’re sick. State health officials say there have been 70 deaths across the state from the flu since October, and that flu activity continues to rise.
