The Nipomo man who was arrested last week and accused of firing projectiles at cars along Highway 101 and 156 near Prunedale is facing additional charges. 52-year-old Charles Lafferty was in court yesterday to face 9 counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The Monterey County D.A.’s office says Lafferty is now going to face 79 charges. According to KSBY, those include 74 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of child abuse and two counts of abuse on a peace officer. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
