Santa Maria could soon have more housing and retail business options in the downtown area. The downtown revitalization committee met yesterday to go over a proposed project that could bring 120 apartment units and about 28,000 square feet of retail space. The project is said to be in the discussion phase. While there are several downtown projects on the table, no applications have been submitted.
