The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s office has confirmed that an inmate at the county jail died last night. Officials say the 62-year-old man was waiting to be released when he suffered some type of medical emergency. Officials say staff performed life-saving measures on the unidentified man, but they were unsuccessful. No other information is currently available. An investigation is ongoing.
