The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties continues to rise. San Luis Obispo County is up to 42. Only two patients have been hospitalized the rest are recovering at home. Santa Barbara County is up to 24 confirmed cases. Meanwhile, San Luis Obispo County’s emergency response team director Wade Horton told a press conference yesterday the county has been aggressively moving forward on this issue. Public health officer Dr. Penny Borenstein said the county is weeks, or longer, from hitting peak numbers.
