The California DMV is closing all of its field offices and canceling in-office appointments for the rest of the month. In a message to department employees, officials said the closure was due to the coronavirus outbreak. The closure will allow DMV offices to be thoroughly cleaned in order to “protect the health and safety of customers and employees during the coronavirus pandemic.” The plan is to have the offices running again by April 1st.
