Nearly 100 S.M. County Workers Released

The coronavirus outbreak and Shelter-at-Home orders have led to the release of close to 100 Santa Maria City workers. City officials say a majority of the workers furloughed were part-time and working limited hours due to ongoing renovations of the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center pool. According to KSBY, the city has also imposed a hiring freeze.
