An investigation into the death of a Lompoc inmate is underway. Officials say 24-year-old inmate Mamoudou Kaba was found unresponsive around 10:30 a.m. yesterday. Responding prison staff immediately performed life-saving measures. Kaba was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. He was serving an 85-month sentence for armed bank robbery in Kansas.
