A.G.P.D. Asks For Public Input On Training And Policy

While protesters across the country continue to demand the defunding of police departments, the Arroyo Grande City Council made it a topic of discussion at yesterday’s meeting. The Arroyo Grande Police Department is asking for public input on policy and training. Officials say officers made 700 arrests last year. 15 involved the use of force with no complaints filed. According to KEYT, the department is not using the carotid restraint. Department officials say their policies are already similar to those asked for in the current 8 Can’t Wait campaign.
