Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled a new COVID-19 assessment tool yesterday that allows researchers, scientists, and members of the public to view future predictions of COVID-19 statistics using current rates and data. This system is called “the California COVID Assessment Tool, or CalCAT.” He says it is the “model of models” and shows the potential spread of COVID-19. The unveiling came as Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties continue to see dramatic spikes in coronavirus cases.
