A man suspected of human trafficking is behind bars. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office investigators say 33-year-old Anthony Craig Richardson Gaines and his victim were originally contacted by investigators during a prostitution sting operation in April. Both were released due to coronavirus measures, and the state’s catch and release no bail policy. Modesto police arrested Richardson Gaines on August 18th. He was shipped back to San Luis Obispo County Jail where he’s being held in lieu of 550,000 dollars bail.
