CHP investigators are trying to figure out how a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputy crashed his vehicle into a tree in Grover Beach yesterday afternoon. Authorities say it happened at around 12:30 at La Jolla Court and South Oak Park Boulevard. The deputy was on routine patrol when his vehicle smashed into the tree. The deputy was taken to an area hospital, treated for injuries, and released. The investigation is ongoing.
