Burglar Steals Thousands of Dollars Worth of Camera Equipment

San Luis Obispo, CA -- In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 25, the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a report of a commercial burglary at the Photo Shop on Marsh Street.  An employee at the car wash located next door to the business noticed a hole cut into the rear door of the Photo Shop and called the police.

Officers from the police department searched the building and determined no one was inside, but the business had been burglarized.  The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) gained access to the business by cutting a hole in the rear metal door to reach the locking mechanism.

The suspect(s) removed several cameras and lenses and left through the point of entry.  The total dollar value of the loss is still being determined but is expected to total several thousand dollars.

There are no leads in the case at this time, and anyone with information about suspicious activity in this area late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning are asked to contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 549-STOP.
