A tractor engine that caught fire in Templeton started a one acre grass fire yesterday that was quickly knocked down. A few hours later, on Highway 46 east, a motor home went up in flames. Fire officials say, the fire did not travel far thanks to weed abatement and quick response by firefighters. Authorities remind motorists to keep their vehicles in good running order to help prevent roadside fires. Those types of fires can lead to massive wild fire this time of year. it doesn't take long for a spark to become big problem like we saw during the Chimney Fire last year.
