Hancock Officials Looking At Options After Measure 'Y' Fails

Allan Hancock College officials will have to figure out how to pay for improvements at their facilities in Santa Maria, Lompoc and Santa Ynez after Measure 'Y' failed to get enough votes. The measure needed 55-percent of the vote to pass. It only received a 45-percent approval. College leaders wanted to use the money to pay for a fine arts complex, new technology, upgrades to the Public Safety Training Complex in Lompoc, and infrastructure improvements among other projects.
