Sink Hole In SLO

March 20th, 2017

Sink Hole In San Luis Obispo Neighborhood

A sink hole has San Luis Obispo City officials asking commuters to avoid using the 1200 block of Fredricks Street. The sink hole was caused by a water main break Friday afternoon. Crews were able to keep water from flowing into nearby homes. Fredericks Street is closed between Kentucky Street and Chaplin Lane but residents were being allowed to walk in. Authorities say other parts of Fredricks street show signs of cracking and stress. It's unknown when the street will be reopened.
