Kristin Smart’s family has filed a civil suit against Ruben Flores. The lawsuit filed on Wednesday claims Flores intentionally inflicted emotional distress on the Smart family by hiding Kristin’s body for nearly 25 years. The family’s attorney also claims her remains were moved in February last year from Ruben Flores’s property to another location in San Luis Obispo County. The civil suit may have to wait until the ongoing criminal case against Flores is concluded.
