A change could soon be coming to the Morro Bay skyline. The city and Vistra, the company that bought the power plant to build the world’s largest battery storage facility, have been negotiating the finer points of of an agreement for a year. Demolishing the three stacks of the, now vacant power plant would be the first step in Vistra’s plans for the property. The City of Morro Bay would also need an easement on the property for its water reclamation project. A special teleconference City Council meeting is set for this evening.
