On Wednesday, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties were in a severe drought. Yesterday the National Weather Service moved the Central Cast into “Extreme Drought” status. According to the National Weather Service’s Twitter extreme to exceptional drought conditions cover more than 85 percent of the state.
