Santa Barbara County Main Jail is experiencing a COVID outbreak. Now San Luis Obispo County Jail is reporting an outbreak of its own. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the outbreak began on December 26th. As of yesterday, 59 inmates and 23 staff members had tested positive for the virus. Officials say the measures being taken to mitigate the spread of the virus exceed the minimum state requirements.
