A plan to reduce the risk of wildfire in Northern San Luis Obispo County is being put into action. Paso Robles City officials have finally received permission to reduce vegetation in the Salinas River. The plan includes grazing goats and hand crews to reduce potential fire fuels. In June 2020, a 15 acre fire jumped the banks of the river destroying two homes in a nearby neighborhood.
