Santa Barbara County Health officials have reported the first confirmed case of monkeypox. They say the infected resident was exposed outside the county. Adding that they will isolate themselves at home until the symptoms clear up. Central Coast Health Departments have been preparing for the virus and say the risk to the public remains low.
