A Pismo Beach man accused of trying to kill a Pismo Beach police officer wants the charges dismissed. 48-year-old Charles Ammons allegedly pointed a gun at the officer’s head during a traffic stop in April of last year. According to the Tribune, Ammons also wants to fire his court-appointed attorney and represent himself in court. The judge denied the first request but will consider the second at the next hearing on June 13th.
